NDIS & Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

It is estimated that 20,800 Australians have been affected by a spinal cord injury (SCI). These spinal cord injury are usually due to a traumatic cause and are usually incurred by people under 65 years of age.

The impact of spinal cord injury on a person, can have a significant impact on their life. The injury may result in no movement in the affected parts of the body. This may limit the person’s mobility, bodily functions, digestion, breathing and sexual function. The spinal cord injury may also affect the person’s mental health.

As a result people living with spinal cord injury require support not only with the mobility and daily functioning but also support to better manage their mental health for optimal quality of life.

At the Wellness Psychology Clinic, we have experience working with people with Spinal Cord Injury(SCI) and welcome the opportunity to work with you.
