Telehealth

Telehealth for Adults

Telehealth, is a term used to describe a consultation with an allied health professional that is via video call or phone call, rather than face to face. Telehealth is provided when it is safe and clinically relevant. Some benefits of telehealth may include:

  • Telehealth may allow you to access care from the comfort of your own home.
  • Costs associated with getting to and from your allied health consultations may be reduced via telehealth.
  • If you have mobility issues, telehealth may assist with putting less pressure on your need to be mobile for appointments.
  • However, there may be some circumstances where telehealth may be unsuitable, please see video B in our Book Appointment page for more information.

Telehealth for Children and Adolescents

Children and adolescents may also benefit from telehealth (Video consultation) this may include:

  • Having support provided to your child or adolescents in the comfort of your own home, reducing the need to travel to appointments.
  • Having the sessions via telehealth may reduce the cost associated with additional care arrangements needed for other children in the family.
  • Having therapy from the comfort of your own home may allow your child or adolescent to be more relaxed and more willing to participate in therapy.

Telehealth for Couples

Couples may benefit from telehealth services in that:

  • Couple’s may choose to access therapy in the comfort of their own home, making therapy more easily accessible for them.
  • The time spent coming to and from therapy and travel costs may be reduced.
  • A couple may choose a time that suits them best without needing to schedule a large amount of time to attend a face to face appointment.

Telehealth for Group Classes

Accessing telehealth services via our groups classes and activities, may be beneficial as it may;

  • May be a great way to learn by gaining an understanding through others in the group.
  • May assist with contributing to improved mental health via social contact with others.
  • Maybe assist with increasing social contact with others seeking to learn the same life skills or learning outcomes you are seeking.

Our Wellness Mobile App

Our Wellness Psychology Clinic Australia® APP, may assist clients access information regarding wellness and wellbeing in a mobile manner and may also assist clients to (Coming Soon);

  • May assist to access information regarding common topics regarding wellness and mental health.
  • May assist to access a variety of app exercises which may contribute to improved wellness.
  • May assist with booking your appointments with your allied health professional.
  • However, the app is not intended to diagnose or provide crisis support as you would possibly receive from a crisis team.

Web Based Wellness Classes

Wellness Psychology Clinic Australia®, intends to also offer online classes regarding health, wellbeing and life skills which can be accessed from the comfort of your own home. These classes may be suitable for you if you wish to (Coming Soon);

  • May assist you to learn at your own pace and at the comfort of your own home in a range of health and wellbeing topics.
  • May assist you to combine self-paced online classes with the telehealth appointments you receive from your practitioner at the Wellness Psychology Clinic Australia®.
