Paula Garrido is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive training in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions. She has worked across a range of settings including public hospitals in Sydney, community mental health services, private practice, and with the NDIS.
Paula has additional training in relationship counselling, couple, and family therapy through the Australian Institute of Relationship Studies, and has worked as a couple and family therapist with Relationships Australia.
She has a special interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, complex trauma (CPTSD), psychotic disorders including schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, autism, ADHD, and acquired brain injury.
Paula also works with couples and families navigating a wide range of challenges, including non-monogamous relationships and those within the LGBTQ+ community, providing a respectful and inclusive therapeutic space.
She is experienced in supporting NDIS participants, with a focus on capacity building and functional outcomes.
Paula is known for her warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic practices, supporting individuals, couples, and families to work towards meaningful and lasting change.
